Innovative Approaches
QI brings together experts in engineering, medicine, public health and the biological, behavioral, and social sciences to develop innovative approaches to improving health, health care delivery, and public health. Through the development of advanced sensors, diagnostic tools, biomedical data modeling and information portals, QI is helping to shift the healthcare paradigm to one that emphasizes prevention and rapid response, including to emerging issues such as disease outbreaks.
In other research, QI researchers are developing pioneering new approaches to ailments such as hearing loss, chronic pain and PTSD.
“My work has really benefited from being at QI, not only in carrying out projects, but also in helping to brainstorm and think about new areas. Having those inputs from colleagues from many different fields has been essential to projects we’re carrying forward in the digital health space.”
