Beth DeLong

Beth DeLong started with the Qualcomm Institute in April 2020 and supports Ramesh Rao, director of QI. A well-seasoned executive assistant, Beth has over 20 years of experience supporting C-level executives in both public and private companies in industries varying from medical devices to real estate, golf and start-ups… and now academia. She started with UC San Diego in 2018 supporting the AVC for Enrollment Management. However, her life-long interest in science along with an environmental and social conscience drew her to QI.

An avid traveler, Beth and her husband recharge by visiting other countries, experiencing international cultures and foods, exploring architecture and historical sites, hiking in nature, and meeting new people. A few years ago, they spent six months camping throughout Africa and touring Southeast Asia, and seeing how different–and how alike–people are has given her a global perspective and appreciation. Beth also enjoys trivia, reading, cooking and finding new hiking trails in San Diego.
