Research Services
The Qualcomm Institute has invested heavily in technical laboratories and other research facilities and equipment to support faculty and students on interdisciplinary projects. The services listed on this page are made available to both internal and external collaborators, primarily on a recharge basis or as a percentage of personnel and materials costs (%FTE), at either internal or external rates.

Events at Qualcomm Institute
QI is recognized the world over as a premiere venue for events and performances, both for the academic community and the general public. The Atkinson Hall Auditorium and associated performance spaces are outfitted with some of the most cutting-edge audio-visual equipment available anywhere, and QI's experienced staff is committed to making every event a success. A custom-designed facilities tour is a great way to envision what success might look like for you.

Tours at QI
Guided tours and research demonstrations are available to collaborators of California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, Qualcomm Institute, at University of California San Diego, on a recharge basis, pending approval. Standard tours and demos last one hour and include 15 minutes of 4K projection in the Auditorium, demonstrations of VROOM and StarCAVE, and guided tours of specialized research labs such as Nano3, Robotics, or the gallery. One hour is sufficient for a group of up to 12 people.
